Families interested in learning about The Arbor School for their child should start by contacting the school and requesting a tour. Tours are scheduled by calling the office at 713-827-8830 and are scheduled regularly. The Arbor fills a special niche for families with children with special needs in that we will take children as young as three months of age and even more importantly, a child will never be turned away due to the severity of their diagnosis. As a result, most of our students have very little in the way of alternative options for their developmental and educational needs and The Arbor is proud to offer them and their families a place to land and grow.
Children at The Arbor present with a wide range of disabilities including, autism-spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and a variety of genetic, neurological, and seizure disorders. The Arbor works to assist these students in developing their motor, social, communication, and problem-solving skills, enabling each child to reach their highest level of personal success.
